The '90s

1990 March - in the Sala Consiliare of the Municipality of Oggiona (MILAN): the high relief ceramic and mosaic work "Salviamo l'aria, l'acqua, la terra e l'uomo" is inaugurated.

1990 Personal exhibition of drawings and sketches held in Lonate Pozzolo (MILAN).

1990 November -December - Travels to Rio de Janerio, Brasil at the invitation of the Italian Ambassy in Brasil: Teaches a short course on mural painting, begins studies for a mural in Sambodromo and conducts research on the history of muralism in the city of Rio. A long interview with the artist is aired on the TVE (Rio's educational station). Visits the lovely colonial city of Paraty and makes friends with some of the local artists.


1991
Personal exhibition of paintings and drawings, Albizzate (MILAN).

1991 Visits to Salvador, Panama and Cuba, and meetings with the most important artists. Participates in the Secondo Incontro Continentale for the 500 years of indigenous and popular resistance in Quetzaltenango in Guatemala.

1991-93 Central American coordinator and director of the Italian ONG "ACRA" .

1991-95 Managua - creates the piece "Fuentenueva" (290 x 220 x 70 cm) utilizing mosaics, ceramics, pasta di vetro, stones, shell, metal and polychrome plaster, and the work

1996 - Velasco (Holguin) - Cuba -
con alcuni artisti del "Grupo de Arte Publico Mano.
"Raiz de Guanacaste" (225 x 140 x 112 cm) a sculpture composed of polychrome wood, ceramic sherds, Guatemalan thread and pieces of the ex-nicaraguan railroad.

1992 Concludes leadership of Managua's CEMOAR with the inauguration and public presentation of a large multimedia installation for the 500 years of Indigenous, Black and Popular Resistance. The installation encompasses murals, sculpture, ceramics, mosaics and decorative elements by 30 artists from 13 states in Latin American and Europe; perhaps the largest mural museum in Central America.

1993 In Merida - Yucatan - Mexico: creates the triptych mural "Impresiones de Yucatan: Mujeres, Luz y Flores" for the Italian company "PERLA" which had just begun activities in that city.

1993-94 Created the triptych mural "Piedra e Vida en Yucantan" (320 x 160 cm) and the high relief ceramic diptych "Trabajadores en las Canteras de Yucatan" (58 x 146 cm and 56 x 143 cm) for the central offices of the Grupo Kaua S.A. de C.V., Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.

1994 August – works on the three color lithograph "Crocifissione" at the "Taller de Grafica Popular", Habana, Cuba.

1994 September – A second daughter, Melissa Maria is born in Manauga.

1995 - Esteli, Nicaragua - tra i proff. statunitensi David Kunzle e Harold Veeser e i pittori nicaraguensi Leonel Cerrato e Orlando Pastora.
1994 October – Collaborates with the Italian Maestro Aurelio C. to create murals fort he façade of the Universitá di S. Carlos di Città’s Faculty of Sciences and Communications in Guatamala.

1994 December – at his home in Manuaga, creates a children’s installation in painted wood for his daughters to play on (320 x 290 x 270 cm)

1995 University of California "UCLA" - in the United States - publishes the volume "The Murals of Revolutionary Nicaragua 1979-1992" by David Kunzle. In December of that same year there is a round of conferences together with the book’s author in cities of Managua, Leon and Estelí in Nicaragua.

1995 Work on a decorative project for the restaurant "Magica Roma" in Managua, Nicaragua is started but only one of the four projected panels is realized "Il Pulcinella" (122 x 226).

1995 In Italy that summer, paints 20 open – air oil paintings of landscapes around Montefabbri, in the countryside between Pesaro and Urbino.


1996
At the invitation of UNEAC (Unión Nacional de   Escritores y Artistas de Cuba), makes two visits to Cuba lecturing at Habana’s ISA (Instituto Superior de Arte) as well as in the cities of Camaguey ad Holguin.
There are international and national short wave radio interviews, as well as articles in the principle daily papers.

Promotes the formation of the "Grupo de Arte Público Manos" at the Casa di Cultura di Velasco (Holguin) and "Solarte Cuba" in the city of Camaguey.
1997 Illustrations of the work "Che con Cristo Giallo" appear in the catalogue of the Fowler Museum of Cultural History, Los Angeles, California.

1997-98 Lives for six months in the colonia town of Paraty, Brasil working on various ceramic scuptures and some pictures on canvas. Participates at a round table sponsored by "TV ECO" with some local artists and the mural "Il Caffè" is published by the Camera di Commercio e Industria di S. Paulo’s magazine.

1998 - Segesta, Sicilia - di fronte al Tempio Dorico.
1998 May – Returns to Italy for a few months. Creates the high relief polychromatic ceramic "La Canoa Rossa".

1998 September – While in Chile enters into contact with some local artists.

1998 November – After Hurricane Mitch, returns to Nicaragua to coordinate assistance efforts by the Milanese group ACRA, Italian ONG.

1998 December – Returns again to Paraty and Ponta Negra beginning again to paint the tropical sensuality of Brasil.
