The '70s
| 1970-71 Copies works by Tiziano, Rembrandt and Pissarro at the Uffizi and Pitti
galleries. 1970-76 Discovery and restauration of the frescos in the church of S. Maria Annuciata in Castello di Oggiona (MILAN). 1971-72 Meets the Maestro Pietro Annigoni in Florence and works in the atelier of the ceramist Arnaldo Minati. 1971 "Annunciation" ceramic panel in relief (cm 250-310) for the façade of the church of Oggiona (MILAN) 1971-73 Frequents the "Gabinetto dei Disegni e delle Stampe" at the Uffizi and undertakes short and specific trips to study the works of Velazquez in Madrid and Vermeer in Amsterdam. |

| 1972 The founding of a graphic art print shop
(lithography, copperplate prints and wood block prints) in Oggiona (MILAN) with his
colleague Erminio Poretti. 1972-73 With his colleagues Governatori and Splendiani he paints the triptych "The Italian Art of Today" which is subject of an interesting critical note by Prof. Toniato and is given a prize by the Accademia di S. Luca in Rome. 1973-80 With the same group of painters he organizes two large shows. One in Fermo (ANCONA) and the other in Gemonio (MILAN). |

Becomes a member of the "Collettivo dell’Accademia
di Belle Arti di Firenze" directed by the Maestro Fernando Farulli: In the Summer of
1974 as a guest of the Comune and Acciaierie in Piombino; draws, paints, and then
exhibits his works in Piombino, Fiesole, Firenze and Scandicci. 1974 Member of the "Collettivo la Siviera" working on the large window/mosaic of the Palazzo Comunale of Scandicci - FLORENCE. 1974 "The Building", two ceramic pannels in relief (cm 90 x 90 each), in Albizzate (MILAN). 1975 Personal exhibit of pictures and prints "Homage to Courbet" in Castronno (MILAN) and another personal show of pictures and prints at the Galleria Il Gabbiano, in Gallarate (MILAN). 1975 Decorative pannel "High Fedelity", Ponte Tresa (Switzerland). 1975-92 Art teacher at the Liceo Artistico of Busto Arsizio (MILAN). 1975-78 Founds the "Laboratorio Sperimentale Siquerios" in S. Stefano (MILAN) and frequents the atelier of the Maestro Gabriele Mucchi in Milano. Experiments with the techniques of ‘sculpture-painting’ and ‘action-painting’. 1977 "Adam and Eve", polychrome ceramic panel (cm 60- x 80) for a private home in Jerago (MILAN). 1976-77 Sculpture "Crucifix" and a high relief panel "Via Crucis" in colored terracotta for the church in Oggiona (MILAN). 1977 Personal exhibit of pictures and prints in Lugano-Switzerland. 1978-82 Together with the professor Bernardo Carli, directs the "Laboratorio di Restauro di Busto Arsizio- (MILAN)" completing the restoration of various churches in the lower Varesotto. Among these the precious little church of S. Maria in Ferno (MILAN) with fabulous XIII and XV century frescos. 1979 Engraves 10 copperplates of old Gallarate (MILAN) based on designs by the late artist Mario Broggi. 1979-81 Series of adventurous trips to Turkey, Kurdistan, Iran, Albania e Portogallo. |
